Win My Farm - Contest Rules

Must be 18 years old or older.
Immediate family of sponsor, property owner or judges are not eligible.
Essay topic - Why should you win my farm? Judged on content not grammar.
Must submit essay 250 words or less along with $35 entry fee either online email and paypal or if regular mail then funds must be either cashiers check or money order.
Must be in English.
Valid contact information must be included with entry: name, address, phone & email.
Entry must be submitted or postmarked by deadline or close date of the contest.
Close date is July 31, 2009
No limit on how many entries may be submitted per person.
Winner will be selected by three impartial judges.
Entries will have contact information removed and a contest number assigned.
Contact information may not be included in body of essay.
Essays submitted without payment will be discarded.
If submitting by email, then please put paypal receipt number in subject line.
Winner will be announced online within 30 days of contest close date.
Minimum number of essays required is 7000. If the minimum is not met then the close date will be extended 90 days. These changes will be announced on the website.
If the minimum number of essays is not met then the contest will be ended at the discretion of the sponsor. 90% of the entry fee will be refunded if the contest is ended due to lack of participation.
Winner must accept grand prize within 10 days and must arrange a closing date on the property within 30 days of notification. Winner will be announced on website, by email and priority mail. If winner cannot be reached within 10 days for acceptance, then the prize will go to the next best essay. Same conditions apply to the next winner.
Property will be granted free of any mortgage, with property taxes paid up until the day of closing.
Title Insurance and closing costs are provided by the sponsor, Sponsor will choose closing agent.
Any legal representation for the essay contest winner will be at the winner's expense.
Winners will be responsible for any state, local, or federal tax applied to accepting these prizes.
All money for the contest will be held in a seperate account at Colonial Bank until the contest is final.
Contest is legal in the State of Florida. Participants responsible for the legalities of participating based on their residence in other states or countries.

LIMITATIONS OF LIABILITY

In no event will the sponsor, it's officers, immediate family, judges of the contest or it's affiliates or it's employees or partners be responsible or liable for any damages or losses of any kind including direct, indirect, incidental, consequential statutory or punitive damages without limiting the forgoing with respect to the contest and the prize. Sponsor makes not warranty of any kind either expressed or implied but not limited to the implied, the implied warranty of merchantability of fitness for a particular purpose. Some jurisdictions may not allow limitations or exclusions of liability for incidental or consequential damages or exclusion of implied warranties so some of the limitations may not apply to you. Check your local laws for any restrictions regarding limitations or exclusions.

SEVERABILITY OF ILLEGAL PROVISIONS

Wherever possible, each provision of this Agreement shall be interpreted in such a manner as to be effective and valid under applicable law. Should any portion of this Agreement be declared invalid for any reason, such declaration shall have no effect upon the remaining portions of this Agreement.

RIGHTS OF THIRD PARTIES

Unless expressly stated herein to the contrary, nothing in this Agreement, whether express or implied, is intended to confer any rights or remedies under or by reason of this Agreement on any persons other than the parties hereto and their respective legal representatives, successors and permitted assigns. Nothing in this Agreement is intended to relieve or discharge the obligation or liability of any third persons to any party of this Agreement, nor shall any provision give any persons any right of subrogation or action over or against any party to this Agreement.

AMENDMENT OF RULES

Sponsor may amend the Official Rules in its sole discretion. Amendments will be posted on the Sponsor Website. Unless otherwise specified, any amendments will become effective on the day they are posted on this Site.

ENTIRE AGREEMENT

This Agreement, including exhibits, (if any) contains all agreements between the Parties. There are no other representations, warranties, promises, agreements or understandings, oral, written or implied, among the Parties, except to the extent reference is made thereto in this Agreement.
